Awards Day

A day to celebrate Scouts in Cornwall

We’re excited to invite you to a very special day celebrating Scouts from across Cornwall.

26th September 2026 – Stithians Showground

For the first time, we’re bringing together all sections – from Squirrels to Network – for a county-wide event that shines a spotlight on the amazing achievements of our young people.

A day to celebrate

This event is all about recognising the incredible things young people in Scouts achieve every day.

Families are warmly invited to join us for:

  • A celebration of awards and achievements
  • Fun activities to enjoy together
  • A chance to meet other Scout families from across Cornwall

We’ll also be holding our County AGM during the day, followed by an evening social event for volunteers.

Awards and invitations

Leaders are currently submitting details of young people who have received (or are due to receive) awards between:

1 August 2025 and 31 July 2026

If your young person is eligible, you will soon be in touch with an invitation – so please keep an eye on your emails.

Our younger members and their families are invited to enjoy a range of drop-in activities and refreshments throughout the morning. Section Team members are also very welcome to attend.

During the session, we will hold a number of celebration presentations where young people will receive a special certificate in recognition of achieving their award.

Please note that any young person who has completed their award is welcome to attend and receive recognition, even if they have since moved on to another section.

Activities will finish at 12:30pm, but families are welcome to stay and enjoy a picnic lunch on site.

Scouts, Explorers and Network

1:30pm to 4:30pm

Our afternoon session is dedicated to Scouts, Explorers and Network members, along with their families, offering the same exciting range of activities and refreshments.

We will also hold celebration presentations throughout the afternoon, recognising young people who have achieved their awards.

Again, anyone who has completed their award is welcome to attend, regardless of whether they have since moved into another section.

From 4:30pm to 5:30pm, activities will remain open exclusively for adults to have a go and enjoy themselves.

The Trelawney Bar will open from 6:30pm, serving a selection of local beers, ciders and other beverages.

We’re delighted that The Great Apes, one of Cornwall’s favourite live bands, will be joining us for the evening, alongside our resident DJs.

The bar will close at 11:30pm.
